When you send care packages to troops deployed overseas, the United States Postal Service uses its military mail system. Basically, this system allows friends and families of deployed service members to ship care packages to APO and FPO addresses from any post office. However, even though it seems like domestic mail, military mail still requires senders to fill out customs forms and stay in compliance with the shipping restrictions imposed by other countries.
Yes! Troopster is a veteran-owned and veteran-operated business that specializes in military mail and sending care packages to American service members overseas. On our website, you can buy a wide variety of care packages, personalize them with letters and pictures from home, and send them overseas, all without having to deal once with the post office and military mail! At Troopster, we handle customs requirements and military mail for you, so you can focus on what counts: supporting your deployed troop!
We do! In addition to our for-profit business, Troopster, we work closely with Troopster Donation Corp, a registered-501(c)(3) charitable corporation. The sad reality is that not all deployed troops have loved ones at home to send them care packages. To solve this, Troopster Donation Corp lets generous Americans adopt a troop by donating a care package. We keep a list of deployed service members who have requested free care packages from our charity, and we send donated packs to these troops. As with Troopster, we handle the military mail, so you can focus on supporting deployed troops.
